C.M.I Congregation is the first Indigenous Religious Congregation for
Men in Indian Catholic Church, founded by Saint. Kuriakose Elias Chavara, on 11 May 1931. Now, it has 3000 priests serving all over the World. It runs 532 prestigious educational institutions in India. K.E Carmel School, Amtala belongs to K.E. Carmel Group of Schools, West Bengal. It is the first educational Institution of C.M.I congregation in West Bengal.
